About Ampathe
Someone to talk to, when you don't want to talk to everyone.
Most people in a hard hour don't need a diagnosis or a date. They need company — a person who will stay on the line while they think out loud, and who won't make it complicated afterwards. That's the whole product.
Ampathe is a network of verified, trained human companions you can reach by chat or call, billed by the minute from a prepaid wallet. No subscription, no plan to forget, no obligation to keep going once you feel steadier.
Three lines we hold
These aren't marketing positions. They're constraints written into how the product works, and we treat weakening one as a bug.
Not therapy
Companions are trained to listen, not to diagnose or treat. There is no assessment, no care plan, no homework. Many members use Ampathe alongside a therapist, for the hours in between.
Not dating
There is no swiping and no romance. Flirtation ends the session and the account — for the companion as readily as for the member. That boundary is what makes the space safe to be honest in.
Not a bot
Every companion is a real person who applied, was ID-verified and background-checked, completed training, and passed an interview before taking a single session.
Who gets to be a companion
Four steps, all four required. A companion who has cleared three of them is not discoverable — there is no partial pass, and no way to reach someone who hasn't finished.

You stay anonymous
You pick a display name. Companions never see your email, phone number, or location — and you can end a session and block someone without explaining why.
Where we stop
Ampathe is not an emergency service and not a substitute for clinical care. If you are at risk of harm, please contact your local emergency number or a crisis line.
Who is behind Ampathe
Asking a stranger to tell you something true while not saying who you are is a bad trade. So here we are.

Founder
Five years in the industry across several domains, and the person who built Ampathe end to end — the platform, the four-step companion verification, and the boundaries it enforces in code rather than in a policy document.
Most people carrying something difficult are not in crisis and do not need treatment. They need an hour with someone who will listen properly — and that hour is remarkably hard to buy, and almost impossible to ask for. Ampathe exists to make it ordinary: available at eleven at night, without a diagnosis, an appointment, or an explanation.
